    If you have one of the old type brass analog hydrometers, you should know that once you do this salt test if it does not read 75 you can adjust in in the back to read 75 so it will show the correct humidification from then on.

    Dude, you make it sound as complicated as managing a fish tank. Put the cigars in a cardboard box, and thats it…nothing will happen, they will still smoke great.

    by tablespoon did u mean teaspoon??

    I have a bottlecap that size, and i cant even fit that much salt in there!

    Gentlemen, one word (well 2): Heartfelt Beads. They’ll make your life a lot easier. Just be sure to buy more than you need–it will maintain your RH better if you have a lot of them.

    if that is the western calibur 3 digital hygrometer then you dont need to calibrate it at all. it says on the instructions “DO NOT attempt to perform the salt test” so by doing the salt test you have probobly ruined it

    I use the humipacks,they are the best I throw in a couple packs and there good for up to three or more months before they need replaced.
