You don't know what your talking about. Cubans should be stored at around 65 degrees. My wine cooler goes up to 66 degrees and I never have to worry about anything with it, no beetles, no mold. Yes its true my cigars may age a little slower but there is not much difference between my 66 degrees and your supposed idea of 68 degrees.

This is the wrong way to store cigars. They should be stored at about 68 to 70 degrees. Ask any tobacconist.

The main issue with the cool temperatures is that it is harder to keep humidity up. It shouldn't cause too many problems to keep it cool although I personally would not do this due to aging of Tobacco. Most walk-in humidors are not refrigerated. My source? I worked in a premium cigar shop during my college years. Check out Min Ron Nee's opinion on this.

As for the beetles, some people freeze their cigars for 48 hours before placing them in the humidor. Again, this may damage the aging process.

62 is better than 68 in keeping tobacco beetles at bay. I have the exact same cooler and keep mine at 63°F/65%RH. No beetles = happy cigars.
