the walnut is most probably a veneer (paper thin walnut) or you would be able to see the grain on the top edge, its really nice specially love the the rosewood style top
@MINIMI95020 He said the drinking hobby didn’t really interest him that much anymore since he tried every bottle of the liquor he already owned and he didn’t want to spend that much money on fine liquor for just trying one little shot of it (doesn’t like to drink much or get drunk). Concerning the cigar hobby he said he would have to wait making smoke videos until it gets a little warmer outside because last time he tried to smoke and film outside, he almost froze his balls off !
Jeff I swear my grandparents have that same box! They are very anti smoking, so that suprises me that they would have one. I’m going there this weekend so I’ll have to check it again, but I know its the same box!
@binyamj That’s what i thought, certain plastics give off smells and chemicals which would probably ruin the taste of a cigar, i know his are wrapped but there’s even experts which dispute plastic wrapping ruins a cigar. It’s pretty obvious aswell. I’ve got small solid oak and maple boxes which i’ve stored plastic toys such as pogs and figures and the plastic smells have penetrated the wood, aswell as pocket knife oils such as linseed and tung in some of my boxes done the same.
Love this vid… I´ve just asked “is that a humidor on the left” ? You can´t get humidors that cheap in sweden, so I made my own, from american walnut, with oak/ebony inlays around the cut glass “window”and around the lid and bottom (including brass feet), the whole thing was made to the size of cigar afficionado magazine, and the “window” the size of the subscribal coupon.
@mikejr879 The tobacco stores keep their cigars in the wrappers in their humidors too. It doesnt hurt them at all… if anything, it can further protect them.
@mikejr879 you should always keep them in the plastic, unless your storing the same cigars together. the oils of the cigar can impair the flavors of the other cigars its touching, the plastic prevents that.
I like your new humidifier. Very nice and classy. Why do you keep the lighters and matches in the humidifier? The humidity could result with pitting and rust. Romeo and Julieta? Hickok? lol

you should really invest in a digital hygrometer. Way more accurate and most of those analog ones are too unreliable.

a humidor doesn’t seem like the best place to store matches
If I could suggest any type of cigar, it would the Montecristo White cigar line. They are are wonderful.
@MINIMI95020 that was a while ago… he probly started it again…
i hate the ads that come with these videos… obama ads
