How Does One Clean an Old Cigar Humidor?

It’s a simple wooden humidor with cedar lining. I bought it when I was in college a few years back, and made the mistake of putting flavored cigars in with non flavored cigars. Are there any methods to cleaning the humidor so that I can start collecting cigars again?

Thank you for your input

If you’re just looking to get the smell of the flavored cigars out, you could give it a light sanding and leave it open for a few days, or get some baking soda or charcoal and seal it up inside for a few days. Either one should get rid of the ‘flavor’.

Air out and lightly sand the spanish cedar. Make sure you are wearing a dust mask as inhaling the wood dust is toxic.
