Brocatus Torpedo Cigar Review

Brocatus Torpedo Cigar Review This 6.5×52 stick features a tan thin oily wrapper with a splotchy appearance, small veins and imperfections tight seams, a very light pack with several soft spots and a light hay aroma. First light reveals mild-medium bodied smoke with a toast and cedar flavor with a short finish. Construction isn’t proving too great, with it needing multiple puffs and quite a bit of tending to burn well. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the toast fades just leaving a dry general wood flavor, down to a mild body. 50 minutes in after a relight it went out again, with the last 2 full inches going completely mushy and soft with tunneling and poor burn – so I ended it. I really like your reviews. You say what you think and if the cigar is crap, well than it is actually crap and not worth it to spend an hour for smoking it.

Can you recommend some $1.50 cigars worth trying? My wife is about to slash my cigar budget!

@inosankp I love the Rosa Cubas and the barberpoles from label your cigar, for really cheap smokes.

Can you do a review on Liga Privada Undercrown? I usually dont believe in hype but i’ve been seeing a lot of good reports on this cigar which is by Drew Estate.

Funny & good review, I bought a cheep stick for thanksgiving travel (1$). It was cherry flavored (dont hate I like flavored as well as traditional). I almost passed out when I took a wiff of it. Someone commented to me asking if I was trying to smoke a bottle of coff syrup. But five min in, smell went away, got good smoke output, nice ballance of flavors, and a decent burn.

Brocatus! My first box purchase 5 years ago. They were a little suspect then
but fit the bill for a greenhorn..Don’t remember that Nasty flower ash though.
Annoying for sure. I DO remember the nasty re-light taste…YYECHH,
     Smoke em

I purchased a 25 count box of these for $15, thinking I couldn’t go wrong at that price. God, I hate these things. $15 I wish I had back. I can hardly stand to smoke them now, but feel kinda obligated. And you’re right: they are always going out without warning. Bleh. Stay away. There are much better sticks for a similar price.

Picked up a 5 pack of these on cbid and they had beetles in them. Immediately threw them away. I still don’t understand how the larve hatched since my box is always 68/68. Needless to say I will never buy again
